Cherry Chase school PTA and Cherry Chase Neighborhood Association (CCNA) invite you to an evening filled with music, dance, food and fun! Attractions include Diwali themed children’s activities, a Diwali quiz for adults and kids, a family friendly fashion show, A group dance performance by Cherry Chase students and a DJ-assisted Dandiya dance. Come celebrate the annual Diwali celebration in your neighborhood!

Please register in advance to help us plan for food and crafts. Also let us know if you can help volunteer!

Snacks will be available between 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Pre-packed dinner boxes will be available starting 6:30 pm

    Vegetable Samosa  – $1 each
    Indian Sweets (Gulab Jamun / Jilebi / Jhangiri) – $1 each
    Indian style Tea / Chai (8 oz) – $2 each
  • Boxed dinner menu: (available starting 6:30 pm)
    Combo box with : Veg Biryani + Raita + Channa and bhatura  – $10
    Mango Lassi (to be bought separately)  – $3.99 each

* Samosas, tea and Indian sweets will continue being available until it runs out

What is Diwali?

Diwali is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn every year and is the biggest and the brightest festival in India. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness and is celebrated by millions of people all over the world. In India, it is celebrated by making colorful designs (rangoli) in front of the home, lighting lamps & fire crackers, distributing sweets and family get-togethers.
