Pledges and Donations

The Walk-a-Thon & Auction is Cherry Chase PTA’s biggest fundraiser! The money we raise benefits our students by way of great school programs, experiences, and equipment.

Help your student raise funds through pledge donations. Our goal is for each student to raise $160 or more!

A pledge is a promise of financial support for your student’s walking efforts. Help your child reach out to friends and family for pledge donations, which can be made as a flat amount or on a per-lap basis (e.g. $2/lap for 25 laps completed = $50 donation). Please encourage them to ask only people that you and they both know.

Submit your pledge money by Thursday, April 30th

Online donations (credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay) through the 99Pledges platform. Donate now or see details below.
Cash/Checks: Submit to the lockbox in the PTA nook in the Cherry Chase main office with this form.
Company Portal or Donor Advised Funds: Use our FEIN, 94-6171785 or address (1138 Heatherstone Way, Sunnyvale 94087). The name usually listed in these databases is PTA California Congress of Parents Teachers & Students Inc. As long as the correct FEIN is used, the funds will reach us. Complete this form for the donation to be eligible for prizes.
Employer Matching Funds: Learn more about company matching. We greatly appreciate matching funds from your company. However, by law, the amount of the match cannot be used towards any pledge rewards.

Pledge Prizes

Students have the opportunity to earn 3 levels of prizes for bringing in pledges!

Individual students raising at least $160 in pledges will earn a Letter of Invitation to a special “Magic of Reading” event where they will choose a book and 3 small school accessories to keep. Event date/time TBD, will be outside of school hours. Students raising at least $275 in pledges will additionally get to adopt a unique 3D printed magical creature!

Class competition. The class with the highest participation rate of students raising at least $15 will earn a party – theme to be chosen by the winning class!
New for 2026: School-wide incentive. If we reach our school-wide pledge goal of $55,000, students will earn a unique, magical bonus assembly! Let’s all work together to reach our goal!

By March 10, you will receive an email with a link to your student’s profile page and personalization info.
- If you don’t see it, please check your spam folders (search for “99Pledges”)
You do not need to register or change anything. Use the profile as-is or personalize it.
Make a per-lap pledge or a flat donation for whatever amount you can.
Share your student’s page with friends & family
Wait for the donations to start rolling in!

Find your Student’s Profile on the Fundraiser Main Page:

On our 99Pledges fundraiser main page, use the “search for participant” box (search using first name).

Personalize Your Student’ Profile Page (Recommended but not required)

Your private “Personalization Link” is sent in the same email that has your student’s profile page info.

Personalized profiles create a deeper connection between your donors and the Walk-A-Thon cause.

Personalized profiles can significantly improve donor engagement.

Personalization is quick, easy & fun.

Personalize these areas:

Personal letter: This is a message from your student to your donors. Add your student’s name and change the wording or completely rewrite your own letter.
Add student’s picture: Profiles with a picture are more relatable to the donors, and will likely attract more donations.
Individual $ Goal: Change your student’s fundraising goal $ amount.
Individual Lap # Goal: Change your student’s individual lap # goal.

Online Pledges and Donations Deadline:

All pledges and donations need to be in by April 30th, 2026 in order to be eligible for prizes.
