PTA Donations at work

In addition to supplementing school supplies, your PTA donations are used to fund many things your children use in their classroom, from books to learning tools to educational decorations.
New teachers and teachers changing grades are given funding to make sure they have everything they need. Existing teachers are given per student funds and grant opportunities to try out new learning activities and equipment. Thanks to everyone for your past and future donations!

Support Our School, Support Each other

A lot is going on right now in Cherry Chase. Please read the school newsletters and do your best to follow COVID safety protocols and to understand that our school and staff are, frankly, doing an amazing job. Together we can stay safe and keep our in person learning going.

Room Parent Volunteers needed

We are looking for one room parent for each classroom to facilitate PTA communications to families and lend support to our teachers for the school year. It’s a fun role! If you want to be a part of your child’s classroom and build stronger relationships with Cherry Chase families, please contact the PTA Room Parent Coordinator, Jackie Tom at roomparent@cherrychasepta.org for more information.

Back-to-School Family Play Date

September 10, 2021
5:00pm – 7:00pm

While it’s wonderful to see kids back on campus, this year is still different and special in it’s own way. In lieu of a formal Back-to-School Night, join other families for a Family Play Date on the Cherry Chase public park playground! Bring a picnic blanket and your dinner to enjoy on the grass – socially distanced and around your grade cohort.

Since this is after school hours and we are simply using the campus as a public park, there will be no access to restrooms or buildings. Please prepare accordingly and treat the school grounds with respect — anything you pack in, please pack out (including trash) and keep Cherry Chase clean.

“Attendance at PTA sponsored events requires completion of a waiver for each child annually.

Masks should be worn at all times, except when eating. Please maintain safe physical distancing while eating and drinking. Your attendance self-attests that you and your family are in good health and do not exhibit symptoms of COVID-19, have not been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 7 days and have not been tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

How Does California’s Education System Work?

How Does California’s Education System Work?
New to California, or to school, or even to the US? Even if you’d lived here for years, the CA education system may be a mystery to many. Thankfully there is an easy way to understand the system through ED100. https://ed100.org/ Title can be viewed in minutes and are interesting and informative. The Value of PTA Membership

PTA works together with school to improve the education, health and safety of all our children as well supporting many other programs at school.
